| Barrel Setter Coordinators - are responsible for one barrel, all day, at one show per year. You can set it, or designate someone to set it for you, or find a volunteer. It will be your responsibility to make sure it is set for the entire show. Sign up NOW if you want to pick which show you work! | Announcer - Elsa Tuggle - keeps the show moving, must have knowledge of NBHA and our District 6 rules. While announcing, she's also writing down times and hit barrels on cards, and must always be aware of what's going on in the arena. And make sure the barrels are set and timer's ready before calling the next rider. | |
| Show secretary - Sonia David - setup the computer, timer, display, printer, etc. Then type in all contestants and record times, then print reports. | Assistant Announcer - fill in when Elsa's not there, or needs a break. Must be able to stay focused on the job, even with distractions and interuptions | |
| Assistant Show Secretary - must have some computer experience, must spend time with Sonia and learn how to setup everything, in case she misses a show! Keep a log and signup sheet for Member Participation Points | Treasurer - assist the director with show payout, balancing checkbook, and accounting for all money received and paid for each show, and responsible for recording a Treasurer's Report monthly. Help with signup and collecting entry fees. | |
| Advertising/Fundraisers - Need someone who's creative to coordinate ideas, get new ideas, and make something happen! Order & sell advertising, banners, hats, shirts, etc. | County Representative - improve communication with members in your area. Check out arenas and assist with shows. Get a member list and call everyone in your area if a show is cancelled. Report any news, births, deaths, prayer requests. | |
| We will have a quarterly district staff meeting and all show staff and county representatives are invited. | ||
| We have approx 200 members, and only 60 jobs to fill. I hope you all agree, one day out of the year isn't | ||
| too much to ask. Of course, you can work more than that, if you want to, and earn extra PR points! | ||
